The Maithili are the one of the
groups of people where very few people have heard about Lord Jesus Christ. They
have not got enough opportunity to either accept or reject Him as the majority
people have never heard the gospel. There are around 5 million Maithili people
living in Southern part of Nepal.
Rajpati Mahara is one among
them. He was born and brought up in the orthodox Hindu family. He belonged to
Dalit, the scheduled caste. While he was studying in the 10th
standard, suddenly he became sick and was taken to doctor. According to the
doctor, he was suffering from amuse bleeding, colitis and ulcerative colitis.
He always had a stomach pain, gas formation, had to go for toilet 7/8 times a
day, could hardly sleep at night and had a fear of witchcraft. His parents had
taken him to different parts of Nepal and India but without any gain. As time
passed by, he became very weak and thin. He looked pale and was reduced to
skeleton. He was in need of blood transfusion. His parents work in the field as
labor so there was lack of nutritious food and money. There was no one to
donate blood to save his life. They used to cry but nobody listened to them.
Fortunately he was met by our staff, who was ready to donate blood to him. He
even called his friends to help him. Together, they donated 3 packets of blood
to him. While the last packet was about to be empty, our staff shared him that
if he could trust in Almighty God, then He could only heal him. Rajpati
confessed his sin and received Jesus Christ as his personal Savor and
Lord. He started praying and attending the
church regularly. God has answered to his prayer. He is healed. His health is
good and he works hard as a labor. Now he is completely free from the diseases
which made him suffer for so long. They are all well and happy, and grateful to
God who gave him new life.
